The BHIMAN – BH20 is a long-range large-capacity heavy-weight autonomous Hybrid VTOL UAV for logistics and aerial cargo delivery. It operates 10x more economically than today’s helicopters, requires no runways, and brings enhanced safety and reliability.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Bhiman BH-20 has been developed by Edall Systems under the scheme of Technology Development Fund (TDF) from Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO)
The TDF Scheme extends financial support and expertise to upgrade existing products/ systems, processes and its applications by reducing production costs, improving functionality and quality by promoting Make in India, and the development of futuristic technologies with defense applications.
LOW OPERATING COSTS
- Battery-powered electric vertical propulsion. Low fuel consumption in cruise flight
- Fully autonomous flight, remotely surveyed from the ground
- 10 times lower operating cost than helicopters
VTOL CARGO CAPABILITY
- Air cargo operations where a runway does not exist. Compatible with standard helicopter landing pads
- Payloads of up to 20 kg in a 3x2x2 in size cargo compartment
- Proven and certified lift with cruise propulsion system
SIMPLICITY OF OPERATION
- Supports different types of cargo as per Military requirement
- Unobstructed loading through the side door, even with a forklift
